Fraudulent recordings
The following CDs are currently being misrepresented as Wynton Marsalis recordings. These are all recordings of an Art Blakey performance in the early 1980’s with a number of sidemen, including Wynton Marsalis. Additionally, while being offered for sale under different titles, the music on most of these recordings is essentially the same. More misrepresentations can be found in the credits of several of these records. Mr. Marsalis is listed as the composer of several songs, but did not compose any of the material on these CDs. Wynton Marsalis and Sony Music are taking legal steps to address the situation and to prevent music fans from being defrauded.
