Video: Wynton and Drue Kataoka at JALC

On December 14, Wynton hosted a spectacular event for Around the World New York at Dizzy’s Jazz Club at JALC.
Overlooking a sparkling Manhattan skyline with Central Park in the foreground, ENSO 2007, the new project by Drue, was showed.

Ted Nash’s Portrait in Seven Shades reviewed by New York Sun

This weekend the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton played at Rose Theater the new composition by Ted Nash entitled: Portrait in Seven Shades.

Drue Kataoka paints a portrait of Wynton

Drue Kataoka, who paints in the Japanese brush style known as sumi-e, has composed a portrait of jazz trumpet master Wynton Marsalis. In a series of outreach events, Ms. Kataoka will offer for sale 250 prints of “Wynton Marsalis Courtin’ the Blues”, with which she hopes to raise $100,000 for the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County.
