I am one who likes scatting that has more simuliarity of the melody in this type of setting. Yes Helan Sung used one of Wynton Marsalis poems and put a funk jazz twist to it which was interesting. I am happy Wynton is a continued influence on us all.Enjoyed what I got to hear of it. jazz and poetry has been going on for sometime now and the more I hear it the more I like it from all generations.
