Video: Wynton explaining “West End Blues” and the “Big Four”
As you know, on 2001 Wynton served as a senior creative consultant for the documentary “Jazz”, with filmmaker Ken Burns.
The film, divided into a series of 10 episodes, was broadcasted on PBS, and was released on DVD later that year by the same company.
In the following video-clips from the series, Wynton helps us to understand Louis Armstrong’s solo on “West End Blues” and the “Big Four” in New Orleans Jazz.
