A great selection! Wow that MONK! Four in One must have a million intricacies…that bop intro. and the ongoing rhythms incl. 5 against 2 quintuplets
(how did Monk come up with this stuff?! Really original!!). And Monk’s Reflections, which is one of the most obscure and beautiful of all jazz rep. Thanks!!

An extra–ordinary set here! Wynton and soloists are outstanding in these Warsaw clips. I love Reflections, too, and of course Duke’s blues!

Great stuff! Thanks for posting. I can’t believe this performance is almost 14 years old. The album of Monk tunes that Wynton put out still seems so fresh.
That trumpet solo on Four In One is just out of control. Not just the speed, but the seemingly endless fountain of ideas is impressive.
