This clip is lovely.
Wynton,
Are you going to the Superbowl? It is on a Sunday. The Giants are in. That’s New York.
Allright.

Wonderful performance “Mood Indigo,” surveying Duke’s finest compositions reflecting the changing decades, from the nostalgic twenties to the sixties!
The Band’s in top form and the soloists were terrific.
A real treat to hear the performers without amplification in a special venue.
This is a most enjoyable concert not to be missed!
From Duke’s early years!!

A review of “Mood Indigo” from the Sheldon Concert Hall, voted one of the top ten venues in the U.S. by professional touring musicians because of its impeccable acoustics:
Luigi* will any clips from this show become available?
The Sheldon Art Galleries present rotating art exhibits, now displaying an amazing collection of original black and white photographs of jazz musicians on stage and behind the scenes: including
Ellington, Basie, Coltrane, Monk. The photographers themselves are nearly as famous as the jazz musicians!

The KC Star wrote a review entitled “CLOSE TO PERFECTION FOR THE JAZZ ICON” for the JLC performance at the Folly in KC on Feburuary 8th.
It was one of the most moving and emotional experiences I have attended recently. If I were to single out one number it would be “The Single Petal of a Rose” so wonderfully soloed by Joe Temperley on his bass clarinet. He left us all spell bound with the nagnificinet feeling he portrayed in this number.
Awsome evening! All preformers were outstanding. Come back to KC soon. I would love a CD of this performance.
