I will definitely be getting my copy on March 6th! I love the fact that Blue Note allows fans to preview the music as well as the video of Wynton talking about the album. It’s sort of like a video version of the liner notes.

This is a revolutionary album. Wynton has arrived spiritually, politically, and most of all he has showed the world yet again just how brilliant of a thinker he truly is on Where Yal At!

Brilliant! Wynton continues to amaze and inspire. the illustrations are beautiful-the emotion captured in the faces by the artist are a reflection of the material on the album. Loved the preview and looking forward to the release. I was unable to see the video interview. Anyone else have problems? Nonetheless, big thanks!

I don’t usually love Wynton .. but this album has the flavor of Sun Ra..disharmonies revealing pain of the decades, the words echoing the collective thoughts of many of us, the voices and melodies, reflective of jazz born out of blues in America, and the love for Anerica buried within this album, touched me and my senses in a way that Wynton was unable to do over the years. This album should get recognition and be heard by many more than jazz lovers. It is much more than a jazz lover’s album..it has my vote, in memory of Clifford Jarvis, the percussionist who helped create the sound of SunRa’s Archestra and whose sound I now hear revisited in this album. I knew it would catch on someday. Hope you are looking down, Clifford..you and Sunny were right…the sound of the generations and the unearthly tones and futuristic sounds are being heard today, derived from history and wisdom. I think Wynton has really found his creative voice from the inspirations of his brothers who had no voice, even through their music. Thankfully, there may be recognition of those who came before, who were ahead, but who had no voice, musical or otherwise. I hope Wynton understands what he has found in his creativity this time…only a few of us may get it, but if we spread it around, lots more will get to hear and learn..
