It doesn’t matter who Wynton plays with or what he plays, one thing’s for sure, he comes to swing no matter what type of adjustments he has to make. What a musician!!

I was there on Saturday. It was incredible. Willie Nelson’s laid back approach was very intimate and touching. His every word was felt with pure emotion. Wynton unleashed trumpet solos and riffs with the command and confidence of a lion’s roar. I was clapping and testifying in my New Orleans way all night long with my aunt following suite. It was truly a night to remember. Wynton’s arrangements were off the hook. And, I must agree with The New York Times’ writer, Stardust and Georgia on my mind were incredibly sweet and moving. But, I disagree with the rough start. As soon as we set down, lights lowered and band announced, it was as though someone opened the gates of heaven. Purely enchanting.

Maybe J&LC will consider a Carmichael retrospective someday, wonderful tunes! I can’t quite imagine how this combo sounded; musically on the common ground of blues, it must have been unbelieveable. Thanks for the review! The fansite reviews beat any newspaper anytime, seems the critics take a while to adjust… Anyone attending All Rise in Chicago, please report. Glo.

When will this concert with Wynton and Willie be available on CD. I love it! Just heard it on satellite radio. I have got to have the CD when available. Please let me know! Will it be entitled “Willie sings the blues?”

I have a question - was this concert recorded? My husband and I have been reading about this in various magazines and wondered if it was recorded.

I just read Eric Clapton’s autobiography and he mentions that he played with Wynton in 2003 at the Lincoln Center. Is there any recording of this? I’d have loved to have been there for that duo.
