The late set each night had serious ambiance. The club was packed, with it's gold rimmed railings. There was a perfect walk way through the crowd on the last song that the guys performed. I thought for a minute that Mr. Marsalis and his guest saxophone Guys from the Isles were going to promenade 2nd Line style around the rims. Sweet styles when the swing builds, escalating to the cresendos of the break out solo voices that's when everyone plays in their ways. What a sound. Wonderful!!...and interesting... you can have exact measure of how much work, technic and professional level to get a good job.... .....whenever listening them in recorded or in concert the sound flows so well and easy that anybody can think it would be something easy for anybody (lets take some lessons and get in to it).....but when watching this rehearsal videos you got an exact idea of how much difficult it is and even more to make it look it as if it were easy (that´s elegantlly playing, hidding efforts).......to me it seems almost a miracle to get the beautiful results audience finally enjoys. Congrats!!! BTW, I´ve never seen Wynton playing Sophie Rosa-Rosalee...I LOVE it....wonderful,slow,tender waltz inviting to calm....well, also to dance...don´t you feel your feet start moving when listening? Concerning Nightlife-Highlife, I´ve found it in Citi Movement.... its already recorded, long time ago but it is on C.M..
