10000 people for Wynton in São Paulo !
The LCJO concert with Wynton Marsalis at the Parque do Ibirapuera (Ibirapuera Park) in São Paulo has been a great success.
Read the review of the two concerts on estadao.com.br and on Ultimo Segundo.
Plus, on Ultimo segundo there’s a review about the free workshop that Wynton gave at “Tom Jobim Music Center”.

I enjoyed reading this article reading the Sao Paulo concert. The writer did an excellent job in covering the concert itself as opposed to offering an critique of Wynton and the LCJO. The references made regarding Wynton’s stage presence were insightful. It seems there is quite an appreciation for his music in South America and the compositions played seemed to reflect that appreciation.

The concerts in Brasil sounded amazing! The workshops, parade, ALL the people! I can only imagne the energy. As usual, Wynton makes an impact on the kids and demonstrates connections btwn diffrent musical forms…this was surely an incredible experience for everyone. One of these days, I am gonna drag (or fly) my old bones to an overseas concert. Dios mio! Can you just imagine the energy?! JG
